There is a replica of a typical street scene from 1913 complete with bank and dentist. Beamish is an excellent location for a day trip from Newcastle by car.
Life Science Centre is a wonderful day out for all the family where everyone can see about science in an intriguing and fun way. Discover about the story of the planet and all about DNA. This attraction is located in Newcastle itself and is within walking distance of most hotels. If the weather is not so great then a trip to the Life Science Centre is a wonderful option for a fun day out.
The shopping mall at Gateshead is one of the biggest in the area and could keep most shoppers going for days. There is also a movie theatre and bowling for the children and dads whilst mum shops.
